About the Work
This artwork expresses the importance of thinking about everyone, not just oneself, in the face of the current complex world situation where predicting the end point is difficult.
Using the example of multidimensional arrays in programming, it illustrates that complex structures become manageable once understood. However, as the world enters a once-in-a-millennium major turning point, the artist questions whether being confined to individual frameworks and feeling separation between self and others hinders higher understanding.
Advancing to the next stage requires us to care for others as we do for ourselves. The artist questions whether what we call the “heart” is truly the genuine heart or merely a cage called “spirit” that functions to protect the ego.
Despite being in a stage of “separation,” wearing masks and distancing ourselves, there exists a cycle where enclosed spaces are opened, and separation eventually leads to unity.
While deeply saddened by the daily number of lives lost worldwide, the artist believes this is a process occurring to transform the world for the better, and holds firm faith that a day will come when we can look back and recognize these times as an important phase.
Love is always beyond the self.
