Amid chaotic global circumstances, the roles of nations, organizations, and traditions are once again being called into question. There are surely those who, having lost anything left to believe in, believe only in gods of their own making. They worship these idols and love them, regarding them as closer to them than family or friends. A heart that clings to such faith — knowing it to be false — and goes on loving it will in time give that idol form, and breathe a soul into it as well. That too might be called one form of human evolution.
